Due to climate change and increasing drought, the sustainable use of water is becoming increasingly important. In rural areas, many households and businesses lack access to centralized sewer systems, making them reliant on local solutions such as Onsite Sewage Facilities (OSSFs). While these systems are capable of purifying wastewater, they often lack adequate monitoring, resulting in uncertain water quality for discharge and missed opportunities for reuse.
To address this issue, Kanters aims to enhance the process by gathering reliable data on the operation of OSSF systems, thereby enabling the safe and responsible reuse of water.
